"This is an unusual shot, perhaps unusually thoughtless, in that the prop to Cherry and her drop-handlebarred noogies is an Instamatic polaroid camera. Nowhere in all our archives does another model hold a camera, Instamatic (remember them anyone?) or otherwise. And the reason behind it? My guess is that the jobbing cameraman (he was certainly no artist) found the object nearest to hand, the Instamatic - which the muppet was probably using to take initial snaps of the model to see how she looked before moving onto his more expensive camera."
Footnote: However, for a mind-bogglingly incomprehensible prop, I have yet to find a more excellent example than this: Barbara Miller pretending to chew a vase.
